Join the party for a day of family fun. 9:00 am - Soap Box Derby at Main & Chapman Sts. 11:00 am - Boat Parade in the harbour 2:00 pm - hour long Calithumpian Parade along Main St. get there early to get a good spot to see the parade. Early evening music and fireworks at Silver Lake Park. Between events, visit the Port Dover Harbour Museum for wonderful look at Port Dover's history as an important port in Canada's past. Enjoy a meal in any of the numerous restaurants offering everything from hot dogs, burgers and pizza to perch & pickerel, crepes, steaks and mid eastern food as well as gourmet pasteries, cookies and much, much more.

The Christmas Parade, a visit with Santa at the Light House Theatre, the music, Moonlight Madness Sales, a Christmas Craft sale at Knox Presbyterian Church & St. Paul's Anglican Church, caroling around the bonfire on the beach and fireworks over the lake "kick-off" the Christmas season in Port Dover! Get there early to get a good spot to see the parade. The day is packed with family fun! Saturday Schedule of Events 9:00am - noon Christmas Bazaar at Knox Presbyterian Church noon- 3pm Christmas Bazaar at St. Paul's Anglican Church 12:00 Parade floats line up on Harbour St. 12:30 Judging of the parade floats 1:00 pm Santa arrives by fish tug escorted by the Canadian Coast Guard. 1:15 pm The Christmas Parade with Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Prince & Princess, the bands, the clowns, the horse & trolley and all the floats head up Main Street through downtown Port Dover to Nelson Street then back down St. George Street. Santa then arrives at Lighthouse Festival Theatre to greet the children. 2:00-4:00 pm Visit with Santa at Lighthouse Festival Theatre and face painting so have your lists ready! 6:00-7:00 pm Warm up with hot chocolate at the community bonfire on the beach, join the caroling & watch the wonderful fireworks display over the lake. 7:00 pm - ? The real bargins begin so shop 'til you flop! The stores in town are offering great bargains all weekend in their annual Moonlight Madness Sale.
Shop, Dine, give Santa your list sing carols and watch fireworks over the Lake. It's a great day for children of all ages.

Public Washrooms by the parking lot will be available for the weekend. •The Port Dover Board of Trade cannot be held responsible for property left at the parking lot. •In the interest of safety there will be NO throwing or handing of items to the spectators from the parade float or any moving vehicle. If you have candy or items to give away use walkers at the side of the moving vehicles. This is an important safety issue. Refusal will result in immediate withdrawal from the Parade. •Any entry involving animals MUST supply proper cleanup.
